Communalists lay claim on another Dargah

The Milli Gazette Online

Bhiwandi: After laying claim on Haji Malang Dargah and Sadruddin Baba's mazar, the RSS gang is laying its claim on Jinnat Shah Wali Baba's Dargah which is situated in Komba village, four kilomtres from Bhiwandi. The Dargah's land covers an area of 1100 acres. These mischief-mongers now claim that the Dargah is the samadhi of Nau Nath Peer Baba.

Recently, urs was organised at the Dargah where devotees from all parts of the country participated in the celebrations. One night about 50-60 workers of the RSS attacked unarmed Muslims with lathis at the Dargah which left many of the devotees grievously injured. The incident sent a wave of anger among Muslims.

The mazar is approximately 200 years old and every year urs is organised on 27th Rabi-ul Awwal, the third month of Islamic calendar. The attackers had declared their intention to build a temple there. The Dargah authorities informed general secretary of Raza Academy, Shakeel Raza about this high-handedness and he immediately contacted Nizampura police and lodged an FIR against the attackers under sections 34 and 323 of IPC and demanded their arrest.

However, no arrests were made which showed the indifference and the biased attitude of the administration and police.
