Dr Tahir Mahmood's memoirs
An autobiographical work of Professor Tahir Mahmood, well-known scholar of law and former chairman of the National Minorities Commission, is being released this month. Published by the Amity University Press, the 350-page book is titled Amid Gods and Lords: My Life with Votaries of Religion and Law. “This empirical work of an outspoken scholar reputed for calling a spade a spade contains a critical account of his lifelong experiences and encounters with men and matters in the fields of religion and law," says the Amity University Press in its latest publications update. "On the pages of this book the readers will find a concerned insider's narrative of many important social institutions and religio-legal events", the update adds.
