REJOINDERS

Encourage, don't discourage

Since I follow APE (Act, Participate, Encourage) in my daily life, I must say that your vision and the commitment is exemplary and Muslim community should be proud of you, a person who even faces threats from the opponents of Muslims as I read in MG's recent issue. Your courage and wisdom is an inspiration to others who are contributing their bit to the welfare of a community which is scattered like herds of sheeps with no leadership.

At the same time, a word of humble advise. You seem to be surrounded by hypocrites who are self-styled saviours of the community and as I see through their actions, they don’t seem to encourage rather they discourage the committed volunteers emerging within the community.

The irony is that we are in a community which is under threat from two sides — the enemy outside and the enemy within. It is the the enemy within which is disguise and difficult to tackle. But one must tackle. Successful leaders take risk of making enemies for they know that they are at right path and their actions are pouring good results for the better tomorrow.

When going gets tough, I ask myself: "Is it worth doing for no selfish gains? But then I remember a Chinese saying: ‘it's better to be a crystal to shine for a moment and risk getting shattered to bits than live a hundred years as a tile on a roof’.

MG is appreciated by my friends whom I advised to subscribe it and many did. What we see in MG that articles are too long and those highly preoccupied find no time to go through in detail. Please avoid MG to be a tabloid for retired lots — those who read, weep, criticise sitting in the warmth of pleasant cold sun and thats all. No action to make things better. Wishing you all the very best and success in your all endeavours. May MG survive under your visionary leadership.
