Hyderabad: A group of NGOs demanded criminal proceedings against those responsible for the post-Godhra carnage here on Feb. 27. The demand coincides with the third anniversary of the incident on February 27. The representatives of these 16 organisations wanted immediate release of those detained under POTA in the Godhra incident following the Banerjee Commission report, which proved their detention null and void. They sought rehabilitation of the victims and payment of adequate compensation to them.
