Pakistanis in Indian jails
Milli Gazette Online
Muhammad Ikhlaq and Muhammad Suleman from Hafizabad Punjab, Pakistan, were held and sent to jail when they crossed the border in 2001. Presently they are lodged at Sriganganagar, Rajasthan. They have already served their sentences. A petition filed by the
prisoners was returned on the pretext that the same should be filed through superintendent jail before the Supreme Court of India, but jail authorities are NOT cooperating. Govt. of Pakistan also took up their case of repatriation, but its efforts did not bear
fruits so far. Can the matter be taken up by your organization?
