Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YS Rajshekhar Reddy on 17 April announced that his government will implement five percent reservation for minorities in the education and employment sectors within two to three months.
Reddy was participating in the Praja Patham programme at Rachala village of Addakul Mandal.
Later, addressing a public meeting on the outskirts of the village, Dr. Reddy said that there were some obstacles in the face of implementing the five percent reservation for minorities as a result of the High Court judgment.
The BC commission would submit its report by May end and the Government would take a positive decision, he said.
