Two member Committee by the Congress party to deliberate with the V.H.P. on Ayodhya tangle
Minorities Council's letter to Mrs Sonia Gandhi, President, All India Cong. Committee, 10 Janpath, New Delhi, dated 8 January, 2002

Mohtarma Sonia Gandhi Sahiba,

This refers to a news item published in Hindi Daily 'Rashtriya Sahara' on 1.1.2001 regarding the constitution of a two member Committee by the Congress party to deliberate with the V.H.P. on Ayodhya tangle.

The undersigned is surprised and shocked to read the same. In my humble opinion any deliberations with V.H.P. on Ayodhya dispute would be an act to give undue credentials to this chauvinist organisation. Further the blitz not only against the minorities but also the Congress party in its anti-secular campaign for its own purposes in future.

I would request you to reconsider the decision because any deliberation with V.H.P would be counter productive.
