CIM Deplores University’s Test Paper as Dangerous and Dirty Campaign Against Indian Muslims
London, 17 July, 2002: The Council of Indian Muslims UK
(CIM) has described as outrageous and dangerous the attempt by Deen Dayal University, India, to defame Muslims and their institutions.
According to the Bombay based Urdu daily Inquilab (17 July 2002) a test paper for admission in the University asks the students to attempt a question, “which of the following are the institutions who have given [in the past] a lot to intellectuals and actively participated in the freedom struggle of the country but are now engaged in establishing religious schools and training terrorists (1) Deoband School (2) Nadvatul
U’lama (3) Darul Musannifeen, Azamgarh (4) None.”
According to the paper an Indian Muslim MP, M Khan, has already drawn the attention of Prime Minister Vajpayee towards this sinister work of the University establishment.
“Such a question in the test paper of an educational establishment only proves the alarming penetration of Sangh
Parivar in key institutions. The Sangh Parivar is bent upon destroying the communal and social fabric of the Indian society. The secular minded and justice loving people in India and abroad should wake up and challenge the dangerous plans of the Sangh Parivar before it becomes too late”. CIM’s Chairman Munaf Zeena told in a statement today.
“The fact is that the elevation to the position of Deputy Prime Ministership of a charge-sheeted person like L. K. Advani has established in real sense RSS’s rule in India.”
