Monthly state
level 'Workers Meeting' and its resolutions
Lucknow: November, 10, 2003: The monthly state level Workers' Meeting of All India Muslim Forum was held today in the Common Hall of Lucknow Darul-Shafa's 'A' Bloc The meeting was presided over by the U. P. President of Muslim Forum, Mr Salahuddin Khan, Advocate and attended by the delegates from many Districts. After in-depth discussions, the following two resolutions were unanimously passed.
1. The first resolution expressed deep concern over the nefarious designs of fascist forces to instigate communal riots as the last desperate manipulation to retrieve their sinking ship on the eve of elections in four states. It is evident from the way in which some cities of U. P. witnessed the communal flames recently and deliberate attempts are being made to rekindle the still smouldering passions in
Gujarat. All India Muslim Forum appeals to the moral majority of the country not to fall prey to this dirty hate campaign in which the governments are playing an active conspiratorial role to create communal divides in our body politic just for grabbing or clinging to power.
2. The other resolution strongly condemned the sacrilegious practice of political iftar parties whereby the most pious Islamic institution of fasting is being utilized by politicians for their cheap political aims. All India Muslim Forum demands that instead of resorting to these hypocritical methods, these politicians must work sincerely for meting out justice to the Muslim community by ensuring their proportionate representation in the entire hierarchy of government services including military and para-military forces so that it could be able to jettison its feeling of estrangement and develop a sense of security in our largest democracy of the world.
