AIMMM Condemns Killing and Terrorization of ‘Outsiders’ in Assam and Maharashtra
Demands Ban on Shiv Sena and Prosecution of
Culprits and Policemen on Duty

New Delhi, 25 November, 2003: Shri Syed Shahabuddin, President of the All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat (AIMMM), has issued the following Statement:

"The All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat (AIMMM) strongly condemns the killing and terrorisation of persons from outside the State in Maharashtra and Assam. The AIMMM upholds the territorial integrity and unity of the country and stands by the Constitutional right of every Indian citizen to move freely throughout the national territory in quest of livelihood.

The AIMMM demands that the Union Government must take serious notice of the terrorization of ‘outsiders’ by anti-national forces and use all possible means to contain and stop their vicious activities.

In particular, the AIMMM demands a ban on the Shiv Sena for incitement of parochial passions, the identification and prosecution of Shiv Sena and ULFA activists for terrorising innocent citizens and of the policemen who failed to protect them."
