'Keep your domestic politics To
Yourself', Indian Muslims Tell the Pakistani Run Away Politician Altaf Hussain
London, 11 December, 2004:
Indian Muslims have reacted strongly to the run away Pakistani leader of the MQM party’s repeated advice to them to be loyal to India.
“By sermonising us on patriotism this man has been insulting us on the Pakistani TV ARY Digital. To us his nonsense is as ridiculous as a whore lecturing the women of the town on chastity and this was the reason why we had ignored him on previous occasions. What is, however, surprising is the decision of ARY Digital giving him so much importance and showing his interviews several times.” Mr Munaf Zeena, Chairman of the Council of Indian Muslims UK (CIM) said in a statement today.
“They are free to broadcast what they want but we take strong exception to the language used for us.” Said Zeena.
“Altaf Hussain’s logic is in no different from the offensive arguments put forward by the fascist Hindu organisations and like them we give a damn to this prig whose love for his country is obvious in the fact that he has assured his supporters that Karachi will be free by 2008.” Zeena added.
Rejecting Altaf Hussain’s claim that he had addressed Indian Muslims in Delhi Zeena said, “There are seven known groups representing the Indian Muslims and these are Indian Union Muslim League, Jamiatul Ulema-e-Hind, Jama’t-e-Islami Hind, Muslim Majlish-e-Mushawarat, Muslim Majlis and Muslim Personal Law Board and not even a single member of these organisations bothered to see Altaf Hussain. His assertions that during his visit to India he had been welcomed by Muslims is simply not true. Had he dared to insult them like this they would have shown him how good they are in dealing with a person like him and would have cut him to size. The self-respecting Muslims of India do not need any body’s certificate or advice on their patriotism and least from a person like Altaf Hussain. He should better keep his domestic politics to its own limits and need not involve Indian Muslims in anyway.”
