All India Muslim Forum on Natwar Singh
3 November, 2005: All India Muslim Forum welcomes the decision of the Indian External Minister, Mr. K. Natwar Singh to resign, following his alleged involvement in the Iraqi 'OIL-FOR-FOOD' Programme, as disclosed by the Paul Volcker Committee Report. In a statement, the president of Muslim Forum, Dr. M.K. Sherwani has said that Mr. Singh has established a grand instance of integrity and transparency in public life, at a time when the country is facing a serious threat from the political corruption.
Dr. Sherwani has urged the government to get the whole scandal investigated through some high-level Judicial Inquiry Commission, so that the truth may be unearthed and the guilty exposed.
