COUNCIL of INDIAN MUSLIMS (UK)
/ PRESS RELEASE
British Muslims Deplore Delhi Bombing
London, 31 October, 2005: “Regardless of what religion they may claim to believe in and whatever reason they give of their cowardice, the perpetrators of Delhi bombing who have taken innocent lives have achieved nothing but a definite place in the hell.” Chairman Council of Indian Muslims — UK (CoIM) Mr Munaf Zeena said in a statement issued here today.
“No one with any human feelings can commit such an unprovoked and cowardly crime. What have they achieved by killing innocent men, women and children? Such blood thirsty devils have no values and no religion. We urge the Indian Government to launch a thorough inquiry and mete out the harshest possible punishment to the perpetrators.
“This seems to be the work of sick individuals who thrive on human tragedies, hatred and violence and find the atmosphere of peace in the region detrimental to their vested interests. They are ever ready to sabotage the peaceful co-existence in the region” Zeena said.
“Our thoughts go with those who have lost their dear ones or have received life long injuries. Such tragic moments are the test of individuals and nation’s maturity and patience and we pray to God that Indians pass this test with dignity.” Zeena further added.
