The glorification of Babri Masjid accused persons on 28th July
25 July, 2005: The proposed glorification of L.K. Advani and other so-called 'Ayodhya Heroes' on 28th July, when they are likely to appear before the Special Rae Bareily CBI court, stands in stark contrast to the manhunt even of those who were to attend the marriage of Dawood Ibraheem's daughter recently. In the eyes of law both Dawood
Ibrahim and those accused of demolishing Babri Masjid on December, 6, 1992 must be treated as terrorists - the former created terror through Bombay serial blasts, while the latter had not only terrorized the whole of Indian Muslim community,
but also ruthlessly tore apart the secular and democratic fabric of the nation. Not only this, every year, the tragic date of December, 6, is brazenly and publicly celebrated by Hindu fanatics as 'SHAURYA
DIVAS' (Victory Day).
Terrorism must be unequivocally condemned in all its forms, but before doing that, and before identifying it with Islam and Muslims, we must have a serious introspection to analyze the causes which are breeding it not only in India but across the globe. One may visualize the extent of desperation and despondence that may force a person to seek solace through getting his body torn into pieces. Let us set apart the concept of religion and, and whether it justifies or prohibits such actions, and whether their perpetrators will go to Heaven or Hell, we must realize the reality of life that the disgruntled and hypersensitive youths resort to these heinous actions, when they find that the doors of justice are closed for them from every corner, and their remains nothing except an all round atmosphere of excesses and injustices.
May I ask the moral majority of the country to give justification for these persons, who are accused of the greatest tragedy of independent India, for having occupied the high citadels of power, and now being given a 'HERO'S
WELCOME', when they are appearing before the court. Instead of shying away from the public view for their shameful deeds, they will be moving from Amausi Airport, Lucknow to Rae Bareily Court as great warriors, highlighting before the public their achievements on
December 6, 1992.
