A.P is under
undeclared emergency; CLMC condemns the arrest of leaders and doctors
Hyderabad, 14 July, 2005: Civil Liberties Monitoring
Committee strongly condemns the arrest and registering of cases against mass leaders SANDHIYA, PADMA, JYOTHI, RAJNI, leaders of students organizations and
Junior doctors. The mass leaders went to the medical college to know the facts and problems of the
jr doctors. These arrest shows that the violation of democratic rights is on its peak, and Rajshekhar Reddy
has created emergency like situation in state. Previously he announce that he will established INDRAMMA RAJ, and he proves it
by creating emergency like situation in A.P
Arresting of mass leaders and doctors proves that state under a fascist ruler, and it is clear that whoever will raise the voice will suppress by using all undemocratic and inhuman methods.
Jr doctors struggling for their demands for providing basic facilities, and the high court by intervening in the strike make the situation worst and put the question mark on the right to protest. In this situation the main sufferers are the common people who are not in position to bare the expenditure for
treatment. High court should instruct the Rajshekhar Reddy Government to solve the problems of doctors, because Rajshkahr Redddy supported the strike in TDP govt, and promised
before the election that he will accept the demands of Jr doctors. Now
Rajshekhar Reddy being in power, has forgotten all the 170 promises
made at the time of election.
It is natural that when the Chief Minster cheats his people with false promises,
automatically people will come out to protest. The unrest in the whole state is due the promises
made by these political leaders. People wants democratic govt, which fulfill their promises, they don’t want INDRAMMA RAJ based on dictatorship.
The arrest of mass leaders is conspiracy of the govt to isolate the doctors from the main stream.
Civil Liberties demands withdrawal of all cases registered against mass leaders and doctors and release them unconditionally.
Civil Liberties appeals to the, people to come forward to protest against undemocratic and fascist attitude of
Rajshekhar Reddy govt.
