Indian Muslim Federation of UK condemns Malegaon Blasts

Terrorists don’t have a religion, nationality or a particular colour of skin. It is a disease which exist everywhere and we have to fight it out. The cowards who killed the young and the old, men and women collected at a graveyard to pray and remember their dead parents and relatives on the holy occasion of Shab-e-baraat in Malegon have tried to create havoc and misery to the community as a whole and will not succeed. All credit goes to the citizens of Malegon who have been calm, peaceful and understanding even in this trouble time.

The Indian Muslim Federation urges that the national and state governments in India should act swiftly to bring the culprits to justice otherwise it will be seen as a victory to terrorist and their supporters. Justice should prevail and authorities should act quickly as they did in the past to catch the perpetrators like those of Mumbai train blasts etc. The laid back attitude of the police, the intelligence agencies and the politicians is not acceptable.

The President of IMF Shamsuddin Agha said that "It is not the time to play religious or regional politics but to condemns this heinous act and bring the justice to the victims of Malegoan. I hope that the national and state governments would act to bring the culprits to justice. Compensation and aid to victims should be given without any delay to build the confidence among the citizens of Malegaon. There is also a need that the international authorities should condemn this barbaric act. Our sympathies and our prayers are with the families of the dead, and with those recovering from injuries sustained in the explosions in Malegaon, Maharashtra".
