Unilateral Demarcation of Israel-Palestine Border Will Violate International Law
AIMMM Anticipates Outright Rejection and Strong Resistance
Calls Upon Government to Oppose Olmert Plan Publicly and Mobilize NAM for Protecting Legitimate Rights of Palestinian People New Delhi,

Shri Syed Shahabuddin, President of the All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat (AIMMM), has issued the following Statement:
"The All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat (AIMMM) is not surprised by the USA’s support to the plan of Israel which has been an open secret to unilaterally to determine the international border between Israel and the West Bank which would violate the UN Plan of 1949 as well as the 1967 cease-fire line. This exercise will violate the Resolution of the Security Council.
The AIMMM is of the view that the exercise amounts to annexation of Palestinian territory including East Jerusalem and establishment of permanent Jewish settlement in the West Bank. This illegal annexation will be protected by the Sharon Wall, constructed within the Palestinian territory. Such a ‘final’ settlement will not be acceptable to the Palestinians and to those who support their cause all over the world and the principles of law and justice.
The AIMMM anticipates strong reaction against the Israel-US Plan and outright rejection and strong resistance by the Palestinian people pushed to the wall.
The AIMMM calls upon the Government of India to oppose the Olmert Plan publicly and to consult other likeminded States, particularly the State-Members of the Non-Aligned Movement on formulating a common strategy to protect the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people in the end-game."
