VHP’s Vicious Call is Motivated to Vitiate Communal Atmosphere
Government and Secular Parties should Condemn this Anti-National Call New Delhi,

Shri Syed Shahabuddin, President of the All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat (AIMMM), has issued the following Statement:
"The All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat (AIMMM) has taken note of the proposal by the VHP that Christians and Hindus should jointly fight Islam and sees it as an expression of Islamophobia which is being generated and fanned by the vested interests throughout the world in the name of fighting terrorism.
The AIMMM rejects the very idea of religious wars in the modern world and calls upon the people to strive collectively for peaceful coexistence and inter-religious harmony in the interest of mankind as a whole.
The AIMMM considers that this vicious proposal is meant to mobilize Hindu communalism against non-Hindus and to strengthen the forces of Hindutva against the forces of secularism and thus further vitiate the communal situation in our country.
The AIMMM appeals to the secular parties and the Central Government to condemn such anti-national fulminations."
