Assalam-o-Alaykum-wa-Rehmatullah.
Al-Ameen Lok-Hit Charitable Trust, an associate of Lok-Hit Prakashan Sarvajanik Trust, publishers of 'Gujarat Today', a vernacular daily is dedicated to humanitarian and socio-economic upliftment of the weaker sections of the community particularly in the field of promotion of education, healthcare and legal aid.
Trust also has always stood for the destressed people in hours of natural calamities like earthquake, cyclone or flood. The Trust was in forefront to help victims of Latur, Kandla and Kutch, Saurashtra region in the event of earthquake and cyclone that took place.
The present happenings in Gujarat have surpassed all the tragedies and calamities of the past. In Gujarat hundreds of people have been slaughtered or burnt alive and thousands of houses have been burnt and the occupants have been rendered homeless and are at present taking shelter in camps throughout Gujarat.
These homeless people are to be rehabilitated, a herculean task. The Trust has formed a
separate committee "Gujarat Relief Committee" for this purpose and the committee is authorised to collect funds and disburse funds for the work of rehabilitation. The committee has already started collecting funds for rehabilitation activity and is
getting good response.
Inview of the unparrallel tragedy and stupendous task, it is our heartfelt request to extend your co-operation and contribute your might and motivate your relatives and friends for the same.
The Trust has permission of Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India to accept foreign contributions and have registration No.041910195. The donations to Trust is expempted under 80(G) of I.T. Act.
The Cheque/D.D. may be drawn in favour of 'Al-Ameen Lok-Hit Charitable Trust'.
