AICMEU launches jobs website

AICMEU’s Employment Information and Vocational Guidance Centre has completed 20 years of Service. To mark the occasion it is launching a free employment website on 26 January 2005 at Islam Gymkhana, Mumbai. It will be inaugurated by Nawab Malik, minister of labour, Maharashtra government.
AICMEU, during the last 20 years has provided job information to over 17000 job-seekers and arranged 6721 job placements at local employment market. To extend this scheme to other areas of the country, it has developed and hosted database Internet programme at www.login4job.com.
AICMEU plans to spread this service to different cities with the help of local social organizations, activists and groups. Any firm, institution, organization or person interested to promote employment information service for people of their area, may associate with this effort as an info centre. The only requirement is an application / consent with full name, address and contact numbers.
AICMEU anticipates that by March 2005, it will have a network of 100 active info centers in India. It has a database of 2,50,000 companies and hopes vacancies will float in after the launching of the website together with a wide network of info centres.
