 Founding member of AFMI passes away

Detroit, Feb 02, 2006, USA: It is with great
sadness that we inform the passing away of Br. Syed Salman, AFMI's founding member & trustee, today. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajioon.
A dedicated social work and great humanitarian his contributions to the community at large and to AFMI are many. He served in several capacities in AFMI including as its treasurer, secretary, President and trustee.
The cause of improving the condition of Indian Muslims was close to his heart and he was always concerned about it.
AFMI President Akram Syed lauded the contributions of Br. Syed Salman to the Muslim community in USA and India. He was a philanthropist, social worker and social thinker. AFMI in particular and the Muslim community at large will greatly miss his presence. May Allah grant him the highest stations in Jannah and strength and comfort to his family. Ameen.
