 Barbaric, demoniac and brutal butchery by Taliban

Dear Editor
We, on behalf of the conscious Muslim community, condemn the barbaric, brutal and deplorable butchery on the part of the Taliban — murderers of K Suryanarayan and M R Kutty and marauders of Bamiyan Buddha. We also want to convey through this letter that Islam and Muslims should not be put under scanner as these heinous and horrendous murders have nothing to do with anything that’s religious. The Holy Quran condemns kidnapping and harming of innocents no matter what faith they follow. Voice of sanity has poured in the form of fatwas from Muftis belonging to umpteen Islamic platforms. We declare that such Taliban and others of their ilk anywhere in the world kharij-ul-Islam (out of Islam). We urge the Indian government to take some effective steps and stringent measures to ensure the safety of the Indians against the
Taliban. (May 01, 2006).
