Protest March to Israeli Embassy Delhi
The
Milli Gazette
01 June 2010
A protest march is being organised to the Israeli
Embassy in Delhi by "Committee for Solidarity with Palestine" in protest
against Israel's killing of 19 peace activists.
The march is scheduled to start at 12 Noon, Wednesday, 2nd June 2010 from
C-Hexagon of India Gate, Shahajahan Road end and conclude at Israeli
Embassy (Delhi).
The Free Gaza Flotilla of 6 ships with 700 international activists’
onboard and carrying 10,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid was attacked by
Israel, killing at least 16 and injuring dozens. The attack was launched
on May 30th night in international waters, 65 kilometers from the Gaza
coast.
Gaza and its 1.5 million residents have been facing a 3-year long brutal
siege. The siege was intensified after the 2008 Gaza war, in which more
than 1400 were killed and large sections of Gaza completely demolished.
The Israeli attack on ships in international waters is completely illegal.
That it killed a large number of unarmed peace activists shows the
contempt it has for international law and any canon uncivilized behavior.
To protest against Israeli action, we are gathering at 12 noon, in the
C-hexagon in India Gate at the Shahjahan Road and will march to the
Israeli Embassy on Wednesday, 2nd June 2010. We appeal to you to join with
us – all organisations, groups, and individuals. The protest will be
organised under the banner of Committee for Solidarity with Palestine.
