A Poser To Narendra Modi

Narendra Modi said in Assam that all persecuted Hindus in Bangladesh would be duly accommodated in Assam or other parts of India once his party got to govern the country. A very noble thought, I must say. There’s no denying the fact that Hindus in Bangladesh are at the receiving end, getting the short shrift all the time. But what about the persecuted Rohingya Muslims of Burma? If Bangladesh is adjacent to Assam, so is Myanmar to India. If persecuted Hindus of Bangladesh can easily take shelter in Assam and anywhere in India, shouldn’t the helpless Burmese Muslims do the same? But Modi just ignored the plight of Myanmar’s Muslims. He didn’t even talk about them. Time and again, this man has shown his Hindu bias and hatred for Muslims. Now that he’s almost set to become the next PM, I shudder to think what will happen to the Muslims of India? However hard his supporters may try to project him as an unbiased and secular leader, the fact remains that he’s a rabid Hindu whose hands are scarlet with the blood of innocent Muslims who were massacred in the pogrom of 2002 that jolted the collective conscience of mankind and left a permanent scar on the apparel of humanity.
