Justice Keeps The Balance of Peace In The Society: SIO

New Delhi: Social justice is the fabric of the society which maintains the balance of peace in the society said Masihuzzaman, SIO National Secretary. He was addressing the human chain formed under the banner of SIO at Jantar Mantar here on 20 February commemorating ‘World Day of Social Justice’ observed by United Nations on that day. Looking into the context of India, we find lots of incidents where injustice prevails over paerts of the society. Many victims are denied justice just because they are poor while at the same time the culprits run free in the society, continuing with their atrocities and crimes,  he added.

Anis Rahman , SIO Delhi Zonal President said that social justice is necessary for the healthy survival of a plural society. Pluralism is the trademark of Indian society but it will be damaged once injustice dominates and justice fails to deliver. He added that the administration in India has a good track record in failing to deliver justice to certain communities. SIO National Secretary Ansar Abubaker, SIO Jamia Millia Islamia President Mahboob Thaha, SIO Jamia Millia Islamia Zonal Advisory Council member Kamran etc. also spoke on the occasion. Dozens of students from different campuses attended the human chain. Slogans such as “Stop Innocent’s arrests”, “Ban undemocratic laws”, “Do Justice”, “Education is the right, Employment is the need”, “Fight for the right”, “Let the nation witness justice” etc. were raised.
