Tenth Shah Waliullah Award to Rifaee Nadwi

Bangalore: The tenth Shah Waliullah Award was awarded here on 23 August to Maulana Shah Qadri Syed Mustafa Rifaee Jeelani Nadwi during a seminar on Tasawwuf during which Ameer Shariat Karnataka, Mufti Muhammad Ashraf Ali Baqwi said that Iman, Islam, deeds and beliefs together are ihsan [to do something in the best way]. He said the mu'min should live his life as if he is watching Allah's light all the time. This will protect him from sins and this is tasawwuf. The Shah Waliullah award was offered to Maulana Jeelani Nadwi during the seminar by IOS chairman, Dr Manzoor Alam, consisting of a memento and a cheque for Rs 100,000. Dr Alam said this award is a movement to strive for our future and work for humanity. He said the award was started in 1999 and has been given ever since to personalities for their services in different categories.
