Scholar School’s first Annual Day function

New Delhi: Scholar School, Abul Fazal Enclave’s first Annual Day function was held on 27 March after completion of its first academic session. On this occasion the students presented an interesting programme consisting of songs, poems, drama and speeches etc. Sports Day also was held recently in which students securing good positions in competitions were given commendation certificates, medals and prizes on this occasion. At the end of the programmes result cards were given to the students.

It may be stated that the academic session 2010-11 of Scholar School was started anew this year under the management of Human Welfare Foundation.  For the time being there are classes upto 5th standard in English medium and the plan is to extend and upgrade the classes upto senior secondary level. On this occasion Foundation’s general secretary Prof. K.A. Siddiqi expressed his satisfaction over the performance of the school and its students and said that we should pay serious attention to quality education. The school remained closed for a few years following dispute between the previous management led by Safia Iqbal and the Jamaat-e Islami Hind which owned the land and had leased it on certain conditions which were violated by the previous management leading to litigation.
