Mutton Macaroni - Recipe

500 gram mutton, cut in small pieces, washed and drained
1 fresh green chilli, slit
 1 medium sized onion, sliced
 2 tbsp oil
 1 tsp adrak, ground
 1 tsp lesan, ground
 1 1/2 tsp turmeric
2 tsp ground red peppers or according to taste
1 1/2 salt, or according to taste
750 grams tomatoes, made into a puree
a small cube of raw papaya, cut into small pieces, if not using a pressure cooker.
300-330 grams Macaroni
250 ml cooking water, or according to how soupy you like macaroni

Heat the oil and add the green chilli to it. Add the onion on high flame, stir till it soften. Add the mutton pieces. Allow it to change color and leave water. Turn the heat to low and add the adrak, lesan, turmeric, red pepper, and salt, add the raw papaya pieces. If using a pressure cooker, put the lid on and turn the flame to low once the whistle goes off. Cook for another 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, peel (optional) and puree the tomatoes and cook them.

Once the meat is cooked, wait for the pressure cooker to cool down a bit and lose the heat. Open the cooker and add the macaroni to it. Add the puree to it and 3 cups of water (according to the consistency you like).

Cover and cook another 15 minutes or till it reaches the stage you prefer.

Serve with chopped tomato onion salad.
