Jayalalitha favours increased quota for Muslims

Jayalalithaa, general secretary of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam in an election rally at Srirangam and Tiruchi cities recently said that if voted to power this time her party will increase reservation for Muslims. Recounting her effort during her party’s rule Jayalalita said she had restructured the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes Welfare Commission. Jayalalita also accused/alleged that when Chief Minister Karunanidhi had restructured the Commission in the year 2006 he did not include any Muslim representation. Jayalalitha in her campaign also said that her party would not only increase the quota but at the same time would also see to it that it is properly implemented.
