Indonesia to assist in the power plant project in Bihar

Indonesia’s Ambassador to India Andi M Ghalib during his visit to Patna on 5 April offered to help the Bihar government by providing electricity for its power plant projects in the state. After an hour long meet with the Indonesian Ambassador the chief minister of the state Nitish Kumar while talking to reporters said that Bihar is in urgent need of coal for its power plants and Indonesia is ready to help Bihar in this regard. Indonesia is rich in natural resources like coal, copper and wood. Andi M Ghalib also said that his country could also help Bihar in the agricultural sector. Indonesia has ancient ties with Bihar dating back to the days of Nalanda University. Indonesian Ambassador also invited Nitish Kumar to his country to promote cultural ties between his country and the land of Buddha.
