SIO of India organises iftar, invites Jain, Sikh, Christian, Hindu Scholars, Activists

Students' Islmaic Organisation of India, student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, organised a Iftar get together at India Islamic Cultural Centre, New Delhi on 4th July.

On this occasion student leaders, Religious Scholars, Journalists, Social Activists and others guests from different organisation's and communities were present. Mr. Alif Shukoor, General Secretary, SIO of India delivered the inaugural talk.

Guest speakers of the day were Shri Vivek Muni ji of Jain community, Shri Paramjeet Chandok ji Chairman Gurudwara Bangla Sahib New Delhi, Rev. Fr. M D Thomas of Peace & Harmony Studies, New Delhi, Shri Swamy Sarwanand Saraswati ji, Jb Engineer Saleem, General secretary Jamaat-e-islami Hind, Jb Iqbal Hussain ji, National President SIO of India and many other invited guests were present.

Speakers sharing their Views said that purpose of Roza(fasting), Zakat (Charity) and others Instructions in Islam is to make individual's conscious about creator and responsible towards creations by piety. Concluding the session, SIO's President said that very often these kind of discussions and gatherings should be conducted among different communities and should not merely come to conclusion that every religion is true and we should live in harmony. But with an open mind we need to share our opinions and try to search and follow The truth of this universe and its purpose of creation.The gathering then followed with Breaking of fast(Iftar) and program ends.
