Rizvi College voted India’s most favourite

Mumbai: Music and entertainment Channel ‘V’ recently organised, in cooperation with Facebook social networking website, a competitive programme ‘Sabse Liked College in India’ or the most favourite college of the country in which a total of 450 colleges of the country got their names registered. In this competition, Mumbai’s Rizvi Colege situated in Bandra, by securing a total of 18 lakh votes left all other colleges of the country behind and won the Most Favourite or Popular College in India Award and, alongwith it, a cash prize of Rs. 5 lacs. The principal of this college, MZ Farooqi, on coming to know about this, said that this shows that ‘our’ college is very popular among other students of the country also. He said that his students did not tell him about their taking part in this competition and when the students told him about the good news, only then he came to know that his students had taken part in this competition. He said that the prize money will be used for development activities of the college.
