Tamil translation of Mushrif’s 9/11 Probe released

The Tamil version of the land mark book  26/11 Probe,  Why Judiciary also failed? by  S.M Mushrif was released at Trichi, one of the important cities of Tamil Nadu, on 9 September. This is the second edition of the book in Tamil. The first Tamil  edition was released at Chennai on 16 April this year by the author himself and the first copy was presented to Senior Advocate of Madras High Court Mr NGR Prasad who is an authority on constitutional law and heads the Tamil Nadu Lawyers Association.

The second edition of the book came out within a span of six months due to the overwhelming demand from the Tamil-speaking people.

The second edition was released by M. Gulam Mohamed, editor of Vaigarai Velichem Tamil monthly and the first copy was presented to the leading lawyer in the Madurai bench of the Madras High Court, Lajapathi Roy.     '

Leaders from various political parties and Tamil movements spoke on the importance of the book. Poovai Pulikasi of DK, Tamilazhadan of VCK, Comrade Balan of the Maxist Leninist  Peoples Liberation Front were some of the important speekers during the release function. Mr Kennedy, a leading lawyer of Trichi, who was instrumental in instigating the publishers of the Tamil edition to speed up the translation of the book in Tamil leading the programme.

Kamrudeen, a lawyer who is head of the Pro-Prohibition movement, presided over the programme. A good number of people attended the programme and 200 copies of the book were sold on this occasion.
