Majallah Ulum-i- Islamiyah’s Special Issue on Allama Shibli Nomani


Majallah Ulum-i- Islamiyah (Urdu research journal of the Department of Islamic Studies, AMU, Aligarh) has just published a special issue on Allama Shibli Nomani. Edited by Prof. Zafarul Islam, this issue contains articles on the distinctive aspects of Allama Shibli’s personality as well as his contribution as professor of Arabic and Persian at the M.A.O. College (Aligarh), educational thinker, author, orator, Arabic scholar, Persian poet and critic of orientalists. A special feature of the contents of the journal is a detailed study of Allama Shibli’s Aligarh days and a date- & year-wise sketch of   his engagements, academic work and other achievements during his stay at Aligarh. The contributors to this issue include faculty members and researchers of the Aligarh Muslim University, University of Allahabad, Jamia Hamdard and Darul Musannifin Shibli Academy (Azamgarh).  

   Consisting of 272 pages, this special issue of the Majalla Ulum-i- Islamiyah is priced at Rs 200. It may be obtained from the Publication Division, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh-202002.
