Urdu Bhawan, Library and B. Ed College to be opened in Bihar

Gopal Ganj: Saran Divisional Urdu Conference and prize distribution function, chaired by Izharul Haq Siddiqi, Chairman of Anjuman Taraqqi-e Urdu (ATU), Bihar was held in Urdu College, Gopal Ganj (Bihar) on 5 January. Prizes were given on this occasion to selected Urdu boy and girl students. Dr. Abdul Ghafoor, Bihar’s minister for minorities welfare was invited as the special guest and Abdul Qaiyyum Ansari, secretary of ATU Bihar and many other dignitaries attended this conference. Speakers who spoke on different problems and aspects of Urdu included Syed Mobinul Haq, Zaheer Ahmad Nadwi and others. Dr. Abdul Ghafoor, Bihar’s minister for minorities welfare promised while speaking on this occasion that each and every problem of Urdu will be solved and in addition to setting up Urdu Bhawan, an Urdu Library and one B. Ed College will also come up in district (Gopal Ganj), a committee of capable, sincere and dynamic persons will be constituted for putting into practice these projects and plans. He also asked the audience to prepare a list of such sincere and dynamic persons. On this occasion boys and girl students who had participated in Urdu writing competition and secured good positions were also honoured with awards.
