Hakeen MIRZA LUTFULLAH BAIG, founder member of All India Unani Tibbi Congress (AIUTC) and Patron AIUTC’s Telangana Branch and famous hakeem died in Hyderabad on 2 June at the age of about 90 years. He used to hold a Unani Medical Camp every month in the jungles in the vicinity of Hyderabad in which unani hakeems in large number used to take part and treat the patients. He leaves behind his wife, four sons and four daughters.
Mrs. ZAKIA KHATEEB, noted social worker and teacher of Mumbai died after a prolonged illness on 30 May at the age of 86 years. She had set up Bazm-e Niswan for the welfare and development of women and children and through this NGO rendered great social and educational services to the poor and needy people, particularly women and children, for which she was honoured with an award in 2010.
MOLVI MUHAMMAD ISLAM RAHMANI, senior preacher of Jamia Rahmani, Moonger died of heart attack in Indore (Madhya Pradesh) on 24 May. He was associated with Jamia Rahmani’s department of preaching for about 18 years and had rendered his sincere services to Jamia Rahmani by arranging financial assistance from Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat etc for Jamia Rahmani. He leaves behind seven daughters and four sons.                
RAZZAQ KHAN, Bollywood’s comedian actor who played humerous and comedian’s role in more than 90 films died of heart attack in a Mumbai hospital on 1 June.
