CBSE results of Delhi’s Urdu medium schools

New Delhi: Results of Cenral Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)’s 10th and 12th classes were declared on 28 and 21 May 2016 respectively. As regards Delhi’s Urdu medium schools, results of Zeenat Mahal Sr. Sec. School, Jafarabad (the only government Urdu medium school in trans-Jamuna area), Hakeem Ajmal Khan Sr. Sec. School, Qaumi School, Eidgah (Old Delhi), Rabi’a Girls Public School in Old Delhi (set up by (late) Hakeem Abdul Hameed of Hamdard Dawakhana) and Hoda Modern Public School, New Jaffarad (English medium) were cent percent in which (Ms) Shafia secured 1st position. According to (Ms) Meena Kumari, Principal of Zeenat Mahal School, Jaffarabad, this year 694 students of this school appeared for 10th class exams, all of whom passed. Areena D/o M. Aslam stood first in the class. In the second (evening) shift of this very school, Govt Boys Sr. Sec. School, the result however was only about 62%. Out of 378 students who appeared, 369 passed. In Dr. Zakir Husain Memorial Sr. Sec. School the result was 86%, 14% more than last year. The result of Anglo Arabic Sr. Sec. School (Ajmeri Gate) was however 66% and of the 167 students, 110 passed. As compared to this, the result of Shafiq Memorial Sr. Sec. School, Bada Hindu Rao was about 92%.

As regards 12th class, results of which were declared earlier than those of 10th class i.e. on 21 May results of New Horizon School (near Humayun Tomb, Nizamuddin), SKV Zeenat Mahal, Lal Kuan and Rabi’a Girls School were cent percent. Result of Zakir Husain Memorial Sr. Sec. School was 90% (last year it was cent percent); of the 192 students, 174 passed. Zeenat Mahal Sr. Sec. School (Jaffarabad)’s result was 97.5%; of 442 students, 428 passed. Hakeem Ajmal Khan Sr. Sec. School’s result was 93%. Result of Crescent School (Darya Ganj) was 91%. Zaid Ansari secured 1st position. (Ms) Yusra Javed of Zeenat Mahal (Lal Kuan) topped in the school with 95.4% marks. According to the Vice Principal of this School (Ms.) Anita Goel, this school’s result was cent percent for the 5th year consecutively. The result of Sarvoday Bal Vidyalay, Jama Masjid No. 1 (Urdu medium) was 88%. Fatehpuri Muslim Sr. Sec. School’s result was 97% (103 out 106 students passed). Result of SKV Jama Masjid No. 2 was 98.4% (Urdu medium) while that of Govt. Sarvoday Bal Vidyalay, Pataudi House was 58% only. The result of Qaumi School, Eidgah was 94%.

Individual achievements:

  • (Ms.) Alina Rahman (of New Friends Colony near Okhla, Jamia Nagar), student of Amity International School, Noida secured 98% marks in CBSE’s 10th class examination. She secured 100% marks in four subjects and 99% marks in French.
  • Sarfaraz Husain (16 years) of an RSS’s Shishu Shiksha Samiti School, Assam by securing 590 marks out of 600 (98%) topped in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination in the whole of Assam state. In this RSS-run school Saraswati Vandana, Gayitri Mantra and various shlokas in Sanskrit are recited in daily morning prayers. Bhojan mantra is recited before taking meals.
  • Ma’az Farooqi of Abul Fazl Enclave, Jamia Nagar, a student of DPS, Noida secured 98% marks in CBSE Board’s examination.
  • (Ms.) Aalia Hafeez of St Mary’s School, Safdarjung Enclave secured 100% in all subjects in CBSE’s 10th class examination
  • Jawad Naseem of Farashkhana locality of Old Delhi, a student of Sardar Patel School, by securing 97% in CBSE’s 12th class exam topped in the school.
  •  Nida Khanam of Old Delhi’s Bara Hindu Rao locality who a few years ago had secured 99% marks in English and aggregate 96% marks in Modern School, one of Delhi’s top English medium school (See MG No. 393 : 1-15 June ‘16) secured 95.6% aggregate marks in CBSE’s 12th class exam is in need of financial assistance to pursue higher studies because, coming from a poor family, (her father, a Masjid Imam) she cannot meet educational expenses. There is another such student Ravinder Giri, son of a tea seller, who has scored 95.4% in 12th class exam also needs help for further studies. Happily, both of them have got good offers of help from kind hearted affluent persons.
