New logo of National Minorities Commission

New Delhi: About two years ago when the central government had granted minority community status to Jain community, the National Minorities Commission (NCM) had decided to prepare a new logo so that the religious symbol of Jain community may also be included in this logo. Now that Logo is ready. According to NCM sources, the Commission has received two designs for this logo, on one of which the Commission has to take a final decision. It may be stated that in the old logo, religious symbols of 5 minority communities i.e. Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists and Parsis are there but with the Jain community also being given the status of minority community in 2014, religious symbol of this community also was to be included in its logo. Hence in the new logo, along with the religious symbols of Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Sikhism and Parsis, that of Jain community, that is, ‘Jiva Namo’ has also been included.
