Justice IQBAL AHMAD ANSARI, has been appointed Chief Justice of Patna High Court. He was sworne in as Chief Justice of Patna High Court by Bihar’s Governor Ram Nath Govind on 29 July. Before his appointment as Chief Justice he was already serving as acting Chief Justice of Patna High Court ever since the retirement of Patna High Court’s former Chief Justice L. Narasimha Reddy on 1 August 2015. Hailing from Tejpur (Assam) he will be retiring very soon i.e. on 29 October 2016.
MUHAMMAD HANIF QURESHI, a senior IPS (Indian Police Service) officer and presently Police Commissioner of Faridabad has been appointed by Haryana government as CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Haryana Waqf Board and in this capacity he had done many good works in the Board. It may be stated that another IPS Officer i.e. Muhammad Aaqil, Haryana’s Inspector General (Law and Order) is the Administrator of Haryana Waqf Board.
Prof. FAIZAN MUSTAFA, senior law professor of AMU has been appointed Vice Chancellor of Hyderbad’s Nalsar University of Law for the second time. According to this university’s Registrar Prof. V. B. Reddy, this University’s Chancellor has given his approval for the re-appointment of Prof. Faizan Mustafa as VC of this University for the next term.
SHAHZAD MUHAMMAD KHAN (S. M. Khan), Director General of RNI is one of the 42 members who were recently elected as members of AMU Court. It may be stated that members of the AMU Court, highest governing body, are elected for 3 years.
Dr. MUHAMMAD KHALID has been appointed Assistant Drug Controller (Unani) by the Department of Indian System of Medicine & Homeopathy (ISM&H), Delhi government, though no Deputy Director (Unani) has been appointed since long, because of which Unani Tibb is not progressing. President of All India Unani Tibbi Congress, Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad has urged the government to fill up the post of Deputy Director (Unani) at the earliest so that new opportunities of the progress of Unani Tibb could be opened.
ANEES ANSARI, SP in PAC at Varanasi, has been appointed Police Superintendent of Buland Shahar which is very much in the news these days because of gang rape of a woman and her daughter and large scale riots, thefts etc. in this city in consequence of which as many as seven high police officers were transferred by state government.
ANIL SINGH, a member of Rashtriya Ulama Council (RUC) has been elected Chairman or President of RUC’s UP Branch in the meeting of RUC’s state committee held at Lucknow on 25 July. Welcoming his election, national President of RUC Maulana Amir Rishadi said that on the very first day of setting up of Rashtriya Ulama Council it had clearly stated that Hindu-Muslim unity will be the guiding principle and policy of this party and election of Anil Singh as President of state unit proves the truth of this policy which will give a good message to every body and every party.
Dr. SAIYYAD AHMAD KHAN, Secretary of All India Unani Tibbi Congress has been appointed, and also taken over as Incharge of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital’s Unani Medical Centre. Dr. Khan has also rendered his services as Research Officer in CCRUM’s office in Okhla, New Delhi.
