PFI to file case against media channels

Patna: Popular Front of India (PFI)’s North East Zonal secretary Mahboob Alam Nadvi told media persons that in the peaceful procession and rally in support of Islamic preacher Dr. Zakir Naik and MIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi some TV and news channels had shown fake videos of a banner with ‘Pakstan Zindabad’ written on it in order to project us as anti-Indians and traitors and hence we propose to file a case against these channels in court. He said that we will expose these TV and news channels the criminal way in which these channels are hatching a conspiracy through fake video clips to defame us, gag our voice and project us as traitors without any basis. A member of PFI Muhammad Hasan said that when journalists stoop so low as to destroy their own journalistic and ethical values, communal harmony in society also begins to be destroyed, results of which too are explosive. He said that in this peaceful rally taken out on 15 July the way in which the media had falsely shown the banners of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ with the intention of projecting us as traitors is not only an effort and criminal conspiracy to bring a bad name not only to us but to the entire Muslim community which cannot be tolerated and we shall go to court against this, preparations for which are going on. He said that we are Indians and we cannot tolerate that the label of treason and traitor be fixed on us. He said that cases of defamation, attempts to destroy communal unity and harmony, spreading hatred against minority community and instigating communal riots and damaging national safety and integrity etc will be filed against the guilty channels.
