Rehab India’s cluster programme inaugurated

Katihar, Bihar: Rehab India's second cluster programme was held here 12 and 13 August. Rehab has introduced the "Cluster Programme" with a view to maximize the utilization and benefit of its rural projects and programmes where a group of ten villages are adopted for five years during which they are developed educationally, socially and economically. This serves as a mass development programme.

A group of nine villages in Katihar district were adopted and the first cluster was inaugurated in November 2015. In 2016, the second cluster programme started by adopting six more villages in the district which is among most poor and despirved areas of the country.

The inauguration ceremonies for the second cluster Village Development Programme (VDP) was held in the adopted villages during 13-15 August. Chairman of Rehab India Foundation, Mr. E. Abubacker, Vice Chairman Prof. Mr. Muhammed Sulaiman, General Secretary Mr. Afsel Chandrankandy, Secretary Mr. Muhammed Remiz, Treasurer Dr. Mrs. Haseena Hashiya, Trustees Dr. Zafarul-Islam Khan, Adv. Mr. Bhavani P. Mohan, Mr. O. M. A. Salam, Mr. K.S.M Ibrahim, Mrs. Mehrunnisa Khan in addition to programme managers and local dignitaries took part in these ceremonies which were held in adopted villages of Nariyalbari, Thalghat Champi, Nagatola, Danipur, Sahebtola, Dhangama, Kamattola, Nayatola Harka, Hajitola and Bhattitola.  (For more information visit www.rehabindiafoundation.org)
