Wipro to give scholarships to poor girl students

Bengaluru: Wipro Consumer Care in cooperation with Vipro Care has announced scholarship scheme for girl students of weaker sections who after passing 12th classs or higher secondary exam want to acquire higher education to help them economically. The company said that under this scheme 300 scholarhsips will be given during the year 2016-17 in Karnataka. In big cities the amount of this scholarhip will be Rs. 36,000 per year while at other places this amount (of scholarhip) will be Rs. 24,000 per year. According to company sources the scholarship amounts will include tuition fees and other expenses associated with education.
