Education must for success

Muslims can succeed only through education: AIMPLB President have come across a small Muslim town where there are seven Masjids the building cost of which at todays value about Rs 10 crores But the same town lacks well higher secondary schools for Muslims That is an indication of our misplaced priorities I am for both, Deen and secular knowledge At present our development is lop sided

Lecture on Imam Sadiq

Doctor sahib, I would like to congratulate you. Your lecture on Hazrat Imam Sadiq RA was very balanced and comprehensive. Earlier in your lecture on the issue of Auqaf some time back you had raised some very important points. May Allah bestow upon you health and may you discharge the the milli leadership in this way.

Congress vs BJP: no difference

Bharat Ratan Rajiv Gandhi said "when a big tree falls the ground shakes" after 1984 Sikh massacre. Narendra Modi as CM of Gujrat said, "there is equal and opposite reaction to an action" and later opined "puppy comes under car, pain is felt" drawing analogy for 2002 Gujrat Muslim massacre.

Bureaucracy erodes talents of other fields

To rule and purportedly to manipulate every department, the ruling class has placed a trusted bureaucrat at the top of every department. On the pretext of talent and management, bureaucrats stand on the board with a sledge hammer in their hands and decide every thing either it is technical or expertise matter. "I decide" attitude of Indian bureaucracy has dented and damaged every field's talents. "Armed forces discriminated against, left out in the cold by IAS, IPS…. government must explain why, protect soldiers" (English daily / 17/09/16). A question posed to an MP, Rajeev Chandrashekhar, that is it true that as allowance an IPS officer like a DIG of para forces serving in Shillong will get an extra Rs. 73000 but an army brigadier posted there will get zero allowances? The caption showed that the armed forces have been treated unfairly; why? Politicians and babus have developed very smooth hands-in-gloves positions ruining democracy. The young budding talents instead of bowing their heads before babus leave government services and choose  MNCs. This has lowered the performance of government departments. Indian bureaucracy has become disgrace to India. Dr. M. Hashim Kidwai very rightly called Indian bureaucracy slumbling block to our democracy.

Marriage & Divorce

Mr Aslam Abdullah has placed before us all the correct Islamic view of marriage and the proper procedure for divorce, as per the Holy Qur’an (MG 16-30 September 2016, page 20). This is the real SHARIAT, the real 'Muslim Personal Law'. The All India Muslim Personal Board was created/ established/ formed specifically for the purpose of placing the correct SHARIAT, the real 'MPL' before common Muslims in plain and simple language, in a comprehensive and comprehensible manner, so that Muslims may follow it properly. Unfortunately, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT the AIMPLBoard has NOT DONE. It has been much too busy doing almost everything else. Anyway, better late than never. Even now, the AIMPLBoard should (rather, must} please start doing what it was expected to do and what it has so far left undone.

INDIAN MUSLIMS TODAY

The hearts of Indian Muslims invisible,

Are full of sins and sorrows, grief and pain!

Repentant pools and springs of ibadath

Alone can help and wash them once again.

When in the path of jahalath they walk,

The stains of gunah will never cease to cling;

Defilements mark the crooked path of self

Where grief larks and disappointments sting

Ilm and Aml only can avail

To purify and make them clean.

For therein lie Eeman and Taqwah rest,

With sukoon - undisturbed and serene!

Gunah is a sure path of pain;

Eemaan and Taqhwah are the ways of peace;

Only through Ibadath, you will know

When bliss commences and pains cease!

Jism will vanish and rooh will remain'

To them, who seek the Highest Good,

All things subserve the wisest ends

Loss leads to gain if rightly understood;

Heartaches, miseries and griefs

These wounds born of broken ties

All these are steps thro' which we rise

To the Eternal Life of Truthful Beliefs.

Dignity, Shame and Sorrow

Pain, Anguish, Love and Hate

To seek; to find; to feel and comrehend

To these ends, let Muslim footsteps wend.

No political courtesy to wish Delhi Chief Minister for 'Get Well Soon'

It would have been better if political rulers/leaders cutting across party-lines would have wished Delhi Chief Minister 'Get Well Soon' through social media at least if not by visiting him personally. Despite doctors advising him not to speak, Delhi Chief Minister risked his post-surgery treatment by giving a verbal video-message to public through twitter. Study-tour of Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister to Finland was blown out of proportion. In present era of advanced Information Technology, every responsible political ruler has access to citizen's problems. Media went too low when it blown out of proportion showing pictures of Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister relishing Ice Cream, and not his studying Finland's education-system. Is it a sin to enjoy Ice Cream in evenings after hectic day's schedule? It would have been a waste of public money and another spent of precious days if Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister would have returned without completing his short educational study-trip for modernising Delhi's education system for betterment of new generation. Delhi's Health Minister has been in town throughout during present season of dengue and chikengunia. Media even did not much highlight part of responsibilities of civic bodies for spread of dengue and chikengunia. However it is welcome that Manoj Tiwari (BJP MP) and Kapil Mishra (AAP minister in Delhi) leaving political differences apart, jointly went on fogging in streets of Delhi.

Startling Revelation About Jinnah

The, general impression about Mr. Jinnah is that he was a strict constitutionalist and could never tolerate anything unconstitutional, but the following revelation made by no less than a person Ch. Khaliquzzaman - a prominent league leader demolishes this myth. Says he "in March 1940 at its annual session held in Lahore the Muslim League adopted the main resolution which became its goal that no constitutional plan would be acceptable to Muslims unless it was designed on the following basic principles viz. that geographically contiguous units are demarcated into regions which should be so constituted with such territorial adjustments· as may be necessary that the areas in which Muslims are numerically in a majority as in the North-Western and Eastern Zones of India should be grouped to constitute Independent states. When the British cabinet mission arrived in India in March 1946 to negotiate with Indian leaders about the transfer of power, a convention of Muslim leagues legislature was held in Delhi in April 1946 which demanded the acceptance of Pakistan not on the basis of two states but on the basis of one estate. When Mr·. Abul Hashim - the secretary of Bengal Muslim League raised the objection on the radical alteration from "States" to "State" Jinnah ruled out the objection on the ground that, "states" was misprint. Nawab Ismael Khan and other prominent Muslim League Leader who stayed in India after partition wrote to Ch. Khaliquzzaman. how can a chairman disregard tile phraseology of the written constitution. If the word had been a misprint, how was it that this was not rectified at the open session of the League as according to constitution any change or amendment in the constitution could be made only at the open session. In the subsequent additions of the constitution of the League ~ which were published under the direct supervision of Liaquat Ali Khan the General Secretary of the League same words were repeated I have a copy of the latest. edition of the constitution before partition and in that the word.the States" occurs (Pathway to Pakistan by Khaliquzzaman pp 344-5.

Not drama; it is a reality

People think it’s a drama enacted by Samajwadi Party leaders. As a matter of fact, it is not drama but a real incident has occurred in the top leadership of SP. The drama cannot be acted just before the elections, as the party will lose its credibility. The fact is that Akhilesh Yadav has tasted the lust of power. He is more intelligent than Mr Mulayem Singh Yadv. He does not want any interference from his father or his close friends as Shev Lal or Amar Singh. Being the son of Mulayam Singh, he wants full power. He has become Chandra Babu Naidu or Aurangzeb who had jailed his father Shah Jehan. Akhilesh will play the card of relationship being the son of Netaji Netaji and the father will forego his stewardship. Shiv Lal will go into hibernation. Akhilesh will come out as hero of UP. He will attribute all evils of the party to the old leadership and he himself will come clean.

Sultan Shahin's comments on Bakrid

Sultan Shahin's comments that instead of sacrificing animals on the occasion of Eid ul Azha to commemorate the sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim, Muslims should donate money equivalent to the price of an animal to the poor. For Muslims all over the world, the example of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is the best one. The Prophet himself sacrificed animals on the occasion of Bakrid, celebrated on the 10th day of Zulhijja. His companions also sacrificed animals following in the footsteps of the Prophet. According to the Prophet, the best `ibadat' on the day of Bakrid is slaughtering of animals, al beit, by those having the financial capacity to do it. Allah Taala also says in the Qur’an that that neither the blood nor the flesh of the animal reaches Him but it is the piety (taqwa) that reaches Allah Taala, meaning thereby that `qurbani' or slaughtering of the animal to please Allah only is acceptable. There should be no pomp and show in the `qurbani'. Is Sultan Shahin more compassionate to animals than Allah Taala and His Prophet that he is making absurd suggestions to mislead Muslims. I don't know from where Mr Shahin has come to know that sacrificing animals can be replaced by donating money equivalent to the price of the animal. If this is `NewAgeIslam' as Mr Shahin would like to project, it would be rejected altogether. I think he has taken upon himself a full time job to mislead Muslims as well as non-Muslims about true Islam and Muslims through his website published in different languages. In fact, it is the same thing which is being suggested by RSS and those belonging to saffron ideology. They are also using the services of government agencies now in propagating their point of view among Muslims. Mr Shahin's sources of finance needs to be investigated to find out he is managing to run such a large scale operation. But the government will never do it because he is engaged in creating confusion about Islam and its teachings, unlike Zakir Naik who preached true Islam. Mr Shahin also managed to speak from the platform of the United Nations that indicates his clout in the government. May Allah protect us from the machinations of those trying to misguide Muslims on important religious issues.

Beef, beef

Will inspectors come and peer into my utensils, looking for onions and garlic and tomatoes, all of which are not permitted in my father's social group? Will I be raped for putting a tomato in the dal I cook?
