Jamia to hold seminar, workshop on Arabic in collaboration with Saudi University, Embassy

About 60 scholars and experts of Arabic language from Saudi Arabia and India will be participating at a week-long international seminar and workshop on Arabic language, its future and problems faced by it from April 16.
The event to be inaugurated by H. E. Ambassador of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Saud Mohammed Alsati, has been jointly organised by Department of Arabic, Jamia Millia Islamia, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Azeez International Centre for the Arabic Language, Riyadh, KSA in collaboration with the Cultural Attaché office, the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in India and All India Association of Arabic Teachers and Scholars.
As part of the event, a two-day international seminar will be held on April 16 and 17 on “Arabic language in India: Past, Present and Future” from April 16 at Jamia Millia Islamia. |
It will be followed by a two-day workshop on teaching of Arabic language: methods and problems and editing of language manuscripts from April 18.
On April 20th, a seminar will be organized showcasing the efforts made by Saudi Arabia and King Abdullah Centre for Arabic Language in the promotion of Arabic Language.
An oratory competition in Arabic language will be held on April 21. An exhibition on Arabic heritage is also being organized on the occasion.
