83000 unsolved cases with Delhi Police

New Delhi: During the past about 3.5 years i.e. during the year 2008 and 30 June ‘11 about 1,76,000 cases were registered with Delhi police of which about 83000 are still unsolved. According to Delhi police, the unsolved cases form about 46 percent which are still pending with it. In the first six months of this year i.e. 2011 a total of 26,070 cases were registered of which about 50 percent have not been solved so far i.e. 11,360 cases have been solved but 14,710 cases are unsolved as yet. Similarly, last year i.e. in 2010 a total of 51292 cases were registered all over Delhi of which 24702 were solved and 26590 could not be solved so far.
