Hyderabad: Mohammed Sirajuddin, President of the Minorities Dept of A.P. Congress on 8 September demanded the Chief Minister to pay compensation to the innocent Muslim youths who were illegally arrested by the police in connection with the Makkah Masjid Bomb Blast Case and later exonerated by the court.

He told the CM to deduct this amount from the salaries of the police officers who wrongly involved the Muslim youths in fake cases. Mr. Sirajuddin said that Muslims were killed in the Makkah Masjid blast and the police firing shortly after the incident but police arrested only Muslims. AP High Court and National Minorities Commission exonerated them and declared them innocent and recommended to pay Rs. 3 lakh as compensation to these youths deducting it from the salaries of police officers.

Sirajuddin also demanded the CM to issue a good character certificate to these victims of police brutality. He further said that due to the inefficiency of the police, Government is getting a bad name.

Referring to the Communal Violence in Adhone, he said that the miscreants damaged the property of the mosque but only Muslims are being arrested.
