Ex-terrorist on a peace mission

Jaipur: Muhammad Altaf Butt, who had joined training camp in Pakistan and spent two years in jail, has turned over a new leaf and is on a peace march from Mumbai to Delhi. A doctor by profession, Altaf Butt, arrived in Jaipur after covering the long distance on foot to meet the state chief minister on 1 December. He intends to meet the prime minister too.  Holding state negligence and State-sponsored terrorism responsible for breeding terrorists he want to go and meet the people in Kashmir. According to him, if his proposed plan is followed, peace in Kashmir can be restored within no time. He points out that Kashmiris have suffered long during the past six decades and aspire for peace. It is only a handful of leaders who are bent upon creating mischief. The terror (and counter terror) activities have told heavily on children, women as well as on elderly persons. Innocents when jailed with hard core terrorists learn how to become one. He is confident that the prime minister would be kind enough to meet him.
