Eid message from AMU Vice Chancellor


Aligarh (November 6): The Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Prof. P. K. Abdul Azis has complimented all the Muslims of the country in general and AMU community in particular on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. Prof. Azis, in a message to all the members of AMU community including the alumni of this great seat of learning spread all over the world, wished happiness and joy of Eid for all and urged them to share and promote the warmth of affectionate feelings towards each other. He said that the alumni of this university are precious to it and the University honours their sentiments towards their alma mater. AMU alumni are the real ambassadors of the great traditions and customs nurtured by the University over the decades in its effort to make quality education accessible to all without any kind of distinction, he added.

Prof. Azis urged the AMU community to shed their inhibitions, dogmas and prejudices and come out to promote communication, tolerance, understanding and brotherhood with each other in the larger interest of the university.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. P. K. Abdul Azis observed that the occasion reminds us of the importance, relevance and meaningfulness of sacrifice. He said that we should also make sacrifices to make the society happier, serene and caring. [Released by Public Relations Office, AMU]
