Thackeray’s grand-daughter weds a Muslim

Mumbai: Bal Thackeray’s grand daughter Neha married a Muslim, Muhammad Nabi, a few months ago after reverting to Islam. The marriage for a few months was not publicly announced and was not disclosed to grandpa Thackeray. It was a registered marriage A reception, held by the groom’s family, was attended by several members of the bride’s family. Raj Thackeray and his wife Sharmila, their children Amit and Urvashi, had attended the wedding in addition to Uddhav Thackeray and his wife Rashmi. Others included Smita Thackeray and her son Rahul and Aishwarya. Neha’s mother Madhvi, Manohar Joshi, Ram Kadam, Nitin Sardesai etc. were also present. The reception was held in Hotel Taj. Neha and Muhammad Nabi are physiotherapists by profession. They met a year and half ago in a private hospital. Once their relationship developed they decided to marry. The decision was delayed by the elders of the family who finally gave their consent.
