Terror jinn is out of the bottle

Terror jinn is out of the bottle again. It is not long ago when media in chorus with the Saffron Brigade used to parrot that “Not all Muslims are terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims”. This lie was nailed by late Hemant Karkare, then head of Maharashtra ATS in 2008. It was further tattered by the confession of Aseemanand over a year ago.

Now it can be safely said that all terror attacks ascribed to Muslim youth were the handiwork of saffron criminals trained at umpteen places like Bhonsla Military School and Akanksha Resort under the watchful eyes of Advani & company. The recent past saw the acquittal of scores of blameless Muslim youth who spent years behind bars for no crime.

But now, as the pressure increased on saffron terrorists, their supporters in the media, RSS and BJP, have built pressure on the brave man at the helm of home ministry so much so that he almost lost his job. The pressure is in the name of fighting graft but the real aim is to ease pressure on the saffron masterminds who are found in the high ranks of RSS and VHP etc and the trail is leading to them.

Now the powers that be have gone back to the old game of “balancing” when an innocent Muslim organisation had to be banned if RSS was to be touched. So Muslim youth are again being kidnapped from places like Delhi and Bihar, and the chaos is for all to see: Delhi police arresting Maharashtra ATS, suspending their own men and NIA saying that arrested “terrorists” were not really terrorists.

Mr. Chidambaram, this is not the way to fight terror. Look at the chargesheets of Malegaon and Ajmer and arrest the named RSS and VHP masterminds if you really want to go down in history as the man who stopped terror in India. Should we remind you that all blasts stopped in their tracks since Karkare started arresting the Saffron foot-soldiers? But the big men are still out, waiting to strike at an opportune time….
